Oregon Grown Christmas Trees Now at Wilco

November 25, 2014

For the past several years Wilco has offered Oregon grown Christmas Trees throughout Oregon and Washington in one of their 15 retail locations. The locally sourced trees are Noble Firs. The Noble Fir is known for their heavier duty branches and they will last longer than other types of trees when properly cared for.

Even though the trees are located under cover in the farm store’s garden centers, don’t be surprised if some appear to have been out in the snow. Wilco offers the fresh cut trees in traditional or flocked. These trees are flocked with white so they give a snowy, outdoors appearance. The traditional and flocked trees range in size from 5-6 ft and up to 8-9 ft. tall.

“There are many good reasons to offer these premium Noble Christmas Trees,” said Jake Wilson, Marketing and Communications Manager. “We can support one of Oregon’s key agricultural industries and offer customers something you may not find at other retailers. Plus, it’s a nice way to help decorate the stores for the holidays.”

In addition to the trees, Wilco also has an assortment of wreaths, poinsettias and garland. “Gardens and agriculture are important to us and our customers. Even in winter, we’re always looking for ways to green-up the place,” said Wilson.
