FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS
To be fed with free-choice hay or pasture. In order to meet NRC recommendations for new world camelids, animals being fed hay should consume this product at a rate of at least 0.5% of body weight (BW). Animals on fresh pasture should consume this product at a rate of at least 0.25-0.33% of animal body weight. Always provide animal(s) with plenty of fresh, clean water. Daily supplement amounts shown below should be divided between two feedings.
Pregnant females in good condition: 0.50 pounds/100 pounds of body weight for last four weeks of gestation.
Lactating females: 0.63-0.75 pounds/100 pounds of body weight through three to four months of lactation.
Crias (8 weeks of age to weaning): 0.25-0.34 pounds/50 pounds of body weight.
Active or growing males: 0.40-0.50 pounds/100 pounds of body weight.
Older females or animals under stress: 0.34-0.50 pounds/100 pounds of body weight.
Mature males: 0.25-0.34 pounds/100 pounds of body weight.
Caution _ Follow label directions: Feeding added selenium at levels in excess of 0.3 ppm in the total diet is prohibited. DO NOT FEED TO SHEEP DUE TO HIGH CONCENTRATIONS OF SUPPLEMENTAL COPPER.
Store in a cool (75degrees Fahrenheit or colder), dry (approximately 50% RH) location. For best results, store contents in a container with a sealing lid. Freezing will not harm the diet and may extend freshness. Use within 1 year of bag manufacturing.
