Is your rubber rain boot blooming? Here's a quick fix to remove that milky coating that is appearing on the surface of your rain boot. You only need a few common household items. Blooming occurs with rubber products when insoluble particles rise to the surface and create a milky, filmy look on the surface of your rubber boots. Don’t worry there is a quick fix for this. Just follow the steps below.

To get started, all you need is:
1. Water
2. Olive oil
3. Baking soda4. Clean microfiber rags
Step 1 – Cleaning Your Rain Boot
Using a clean microfiber rag, take a little bit of baking soda and water to exfoliate the surface of your boot and remove any particles that might rest on the surface.
Step 2 – Polish Your Rain Boot
After cleaning your rainboot and allowing it to dry, we recommend using a tad of olive oil to polish the surface of your rainboot and leave it looking extra shiny.
Step 3 – Repeat as Needed
Once you finish polishing the surface of your boot, you’re all set and ready for any rainy day that might come your way. Please keep in mind this is just a temporary fix and you should plan to regularly clean and polish the surface of your rainboot to maintain its overall appearance and shine.
