Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
- Separate the pumpkin seeds from the stringy pulp left over from carving out your pumpkin. Since pumpkin seeds float, this can be easiest to do in a big bowl of water.
- Once separated, thoroughly wash the seed, removing any remaining pulp and debris.
- Lay out the seed and pat dry with a paper towel.
- Lightly grease a baking sheet, and spread the pumpkin seeds out in a single layer.
- Bake the pumpkin seeds for about 40 minutes, tossing every 5 minutes or so.
- Bake until seeds are lightly toasted, then remove from the oven. Let the seeds cool completely before use.
Once your feathered friends and backyard visitors finish these off, (or if you aren’t in a crafting mood) try Chuckanut’s Premium Squirrel Food, made with 100% pumpkin seed. It's great for birds too!Happy Feeding!
