Water-absorbing polymers trap water, restricting fuel flow when it is time to replace the element. Works well by itself or in combination with a #495 (SKU 636-3667) fuel filter for added protection against microscopic particle contamination. Replaceable water-absorbing element #496-5 (622-0859), can use #470-5 (636-4731) microscopic particle element. 9-1/2 in H by 4 in Dia.
