When horses sweat, it results in a loss of water, sodium chloride, potassium, calcium and magnesium. If these minerals are not replenished, it could result in a significant body deficit and cause fatigue, muscle weakness, reduced feed and water intake, and reduced sweating, which can lead to overheating and compromise overall health and performance. Apple Elite Electrolyte Paste replaces vital minerals that are depleted through sweat during exercise, extreme hot and cold weather and stressful situations. This complete electrolyte formula is an excellent means to encourage healthy water consumption to keep horses hydrated year-round. Ideal for horses of all ages and workloads to help maintain fluid balance and support proper digestion, muscle function and recovery. This palatable apple-flavored paste is great for providing an immediate serving of electrolytes when you're on the trail, at a show or trailering long distances.


Directions for Use:

Give the following amounts per day. Always provide access to water when using this product. May be used up to 12 hours prior to exercise or travel to help minimize electrolyte loss. Best given in approximately 20cc increments to minimize product being "dropped" from the mouth. May be given every 4-6 hours if needed. Exercise Intensity - Amount per day Maintenance or light exercise - 15-25 cc Light sweating (neck, under saddle) - 20-45 cc Moderate sweating (whole body) - 30-45 cc Heavy sweating (whole body, dripping) - 60 cc
