Standlee Premium Alfalfa Cubes are coarsely ground and then compressed with heat and steam to form a large cube to slow down aggressive eaters. They are a high protein source of energy for animals needing maximum to maintenance levels of digestible energy. Alfalfa cubes are low in sugar and are considered to be low in non-structured carbohydrates. Alfalfa cubes are easily digested and easy to feed.

Recommended for growing (rapid growth) and underweight horses, horses with sensitivity to carbohydrates, horses with gastric ulcers and late pregnancy and lactating mares

FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS
Feed horses at a minimum rate of 1.5% of body weight per day.
For horses that have dental problems or for horses that aggressively consume their feed, it is recommended to be fed wet, soaked in water for 30 minutes or until properly softened.
Standlee suggests that pelleted and cubed forage not be the sole source of forage since feeding some long-stem forage (hay) may help prevent boredom.

Forage Format by species:
Alpaca, llama, bison, camel, deer, elk, goat or sheep: bale, pellets and/or chopped.
Horse or cattle: bale, pellets, cubes and/or chopped.
Pigs: pellets only.

Gradually replace existing hay on a one to one basis with Standlee over a seven-ten day period. All other livestock, if allowed forage format, should be switched over a 14 day period.

Never feed moldy or insect-infested forage to horses. Always provide free access to fresh, clean water.
